Glad Sluggs has given it the seal of approval! Having seen all your hard work I have decided I can live without a pond :)

About 6 hours in all! Oh come on Tetrarch, give us a hand!!! Pooped now as I started on some weeding after finishing the pond, there's about a weeks worth! Feeling a bit stiff now!

I think it was the singular that confused me!! They are Pipes!!!!

9 Feb, 2011

sorry about that :( - like them anyway

9 Feb, 2011

Only joking!!! think I'm all confused by all the hard work I've done today, being early spring, am not used to it!!

9 Feb, 2011

lol!!

I know - I seem to spend day after day washing down and so on - nice work though - ponds are devils to clean :)

9 Feb, 2011

And now, at last, 3 days later.....X 1 fish, X 2 newts X about a dozen scary dragonfly larvae all back home in the pond. Heron wire back up (as long as dogs don't break it!!) Now wait till the algae bloom, that will annoy me!

10 Feb, 2011

do you try any type of algae killer ? Blagdon stuff is good - it will save a lot of hard work

10 Feb, 2011

Kills algae, algae goes to bottom of pond, more nitrates, vicious circle!!

10 Feb, 2011

how about a pond vac - we may get one - expensive but maybe worth it

10 Feb, 2011

Maybe, think it may take out all the goodness though, ponds are such a pain!! I have tried planting to give shade, will see what happens this year! Just been watching a newt chasing a baby dragonfly and my fish is hiding!

10 Feb, 2011

haha like it - nice you have all the wildlife :)

looks better lulu,

13 Feb, 2011

It does Sanbaz, all I need is a couple more fish. I did have 8 fish but think I will stick to 3-5 so the pond has a better chance of staying cleanish!!

15 Feb, 2011

i think for the size that would be better lulu, even though the fishies are small they do need X amount of oxygen and space per fish apparently, i had 6 but 3 died and these seem happy enough so im leaving it at 3 ;o)
