We got some wild windy weather just as the Hibiscus' first flower bloomed.

nice photo , we have a lot like this with various colors here in our country, it's called gumamela here.

thanks everyone. What I find most wonderful about this shrub is that it is hardy here in my cold northern garden. I planted the seed thinking it was an annual and up comes a few weak looking plants...I never gave it a thought...they died down in the autumn and I thought, "Well, that's that..." but this spring they returned a little taller and surprised me with two blossoms! I'm very proud of my gumamela!
