I think canna indica covers a multitude, sort of the family name lol, so it probably is an indica, that's what Tommymoo calls his:-)

Will Giles calls it Canna 'Cleopatra' in his blog, I've just noticed.
What a wonderful name :)

Haven't taken mine in yet Dd2, you're very good:-) This is my first year and after watching this weeks Gardeners World, I'll be closely inspecting the leaves for virus...wish I hadn't watched it now lol. If it has the virus, you have to compost it and harvest the seeds, which apparently are ok. Do you just pot them up in a large pot with compost and cot the leaves down or leave them? I'm putting them in my garage which is quite light:-)

BA some have been potted up and bought into the garden room, some wrapped in paper and put in the shed, and some potted and put in a very sheltered place between two brick walls (an experiment) and some,
not all have had the leaves cut down.
I read about the virus last year, so have been on the look out, always something to contend with, when growing plants!!

How true, I've only got three, Durban has a flower almost open, but I suppose it won't happen now. I was amazed at how easy they were to look after:-)
