White Hydrangea at Marsten House in Balboa Park

This white hydrangea was looking very good in deep shade. Typically, they don't look so nice here...however, it must due to our unusually cool summer -- although the last 3 days have been sweltering hot here. Photo taken August 12, 2010.

Has it been hotter than normal where you live this summer? I think Hydrangea likes it a little cooler and shady.

Delonix1 actually it hasn't been as hot as last year. I was thinking about moving it this fall anyway. Will probably move it near my bottle brush which is tall enough to give it some shade. Thanks, will let you know how it does next year.

I have a white one and it looks no where near as nice as this. It hasn't even flowered this summer!!!
