Elkie on Holiday

Our Elkie, relaxing in the doorway of the caravan....She is such a good little soul, and this was her fifth trip, and she progressed to going for walks on an extender lead bought for her, in the quiet of the evening, and adapted very well, even managed to climb a few trees.. :>)

Hi Pip....thanks, Elkie enjoys all but the journey....and usually makes a bee line for the wardrobe in the Caravan, familar smells, and is dark, so I shut the door till we get home....She makes herself comfortable on her towel....:>)

:o)))
Like my dog Frances... she hates journeys also, and throws up unless we give her a very, very, very expensive pill!

Hi again Pïp, ....Elkie is only the second Cat we've seen on camping Hols, and when people see her, they are firstly surprised, then all want to talk to her, last time she made friends with a French chap who fell in love on sight, he and his wife rescue Cats....so it was a treat for her to get all the attention....and the dogs just looked bemused....and Elkie just kept a watchful eye on the dogs.....but we had no problems....

A friend of mine has started taking their 14 year old cat away to thier static caravan every weekend. Its a 2.5 hour journey so they kept on taking him on longer and longer car trips until he was happy, now he's happy going the full way. He watches the seagulls for hours in the caravan window and is fascinated by the sea.

A trip down memory lane with Elkie on Holiday...last year....
This year, we've been bogged down with Bureaucracy, trying to register our English bought Caravan, in France...6 times they've sent back the paperwork, we've just had it back again, they want renewed proof of address, apparently due to their incompetence, our proof of Address, expired after six months....No Carte Gris...No Insurance...No Holiday...bah...
