Lori:

They're great! I have some in my front yard...however, they're so drought-stricken...they don't look close to this good. : > )

Was thinking about what it must be like to live with such water restrictions as you have to deal with...and I honestly think I could not cope with it. I've lived all my life with water all around me...and I lavish it on my dry (LOL !!) front garden and I'm so thankful for it. Here's a virtual rain dance.... hope it helps. at present I'm sitting beside an open window listening to the rain. We've had a good drenching today. We needed it because of the everpresent drying winds we've had so far this summer.

Lori:

I bet your plants are appreciating all the rain you're receiving. : >)

It's really a big pain...having to deal with water restrictions for another year. We have a lots a water around us...however, it's Pacific Ocean water. LOL! : > )

Do you have desalination plants, at San Diego? Seems strange to have all that water right there...and not be able to process it so it's usable...even if it was only used to fill pools and run carwashes!!

Lori:

Yes, there's a desalination plant in Carlsbad which is located in northern San Diego County. It hasn't come on-line yet though.

They are lovely plants I can see on this photo the flower are taller may more advanced in flower.

27 Aug, 2017

Yes, this plant flowers on top of the stem. The stems grow 6 to 8 ft (2 to 2.5 m) tall.

29 Aug, 2017

Wonderful I bet thats a sight to be seen.

29 Aug, 2017

Yes, it is. I wish I had my plant again. :>((

I guess I can get another one, someday.

29 Aug, 2017

Dont pull that sad face go and get another lol.

29 Aug, 2017

I have to sell off more plants first.

31 Aug, 2017

Are they that expensive for plants out there then.

31 Aug, 2017

This plant is pretty cheap. I could most likely buy a small one for 4 or 5 dollars.

4 Sep, 2017

Very cheap that would be around £3 .85 here.

4 Sep, 2017

That would be for a small plant. It does grow very fast in good conditions with water and fertilizer.

5 Sep, 2017

I prefer small plants either for outside or inside as they are easier to dig a hole for and inside and out you can see the difference when it grows.

5 Sep, 2017

I like to dig holes for small plants. I like the plant to grow as big as it want to, as long as there's room.

7 Sep, 2017

Yes I do to like them to grow as they like but here you can not always allow it as some one always complains or takes you to court.

7 Sep, 2017

That's very true. I know I've had to cut some of my plants that encroach upon my neighbors. hehehe! :>))

8 Sep, 2017

lol Andy my neighbours are not like you they expect me to cut back and clear their mess up and they both have gardeners to help them.

8 Sep, 2017

Wow! That's amazing they have gardeners and still expect you to do their garden work.

10 Sep, 2017

Thats the kind of people that live here are like Andy no conscience I 'm all right jack up yours .

11 Sep, 2017

That's really sad! :>((

Yep today virgin had contactors out for the church next door to have a line for internet installed digging up the pathway out side my house they left a massive bag of rubbish pipes etc on my front lawn instead of out side the church gates next door my grand son has just recently seeded to give me a lawn having dug out my plants and lavender hedge because of the churchs rubbish from their trees making it hard to keep clean now the grass is flattened and will die if they dont remove it soon.

Likely because I have their rubbish that blows and falls in to my garden put out side their gates which makes it hard for them to access . Also I objected to them along with other neighbours along the lane for them to have a car park built on top of the graves and the gates used for access for an entrance as it is a blind spot for other taffic and predestrians which use the lane the council denied them planning because of a danger of the access to others yet the Africain American church still on occations use the entrance and park on top of the graves against the council out come.
