Thanks Lin, it is probably a little darker shade than it appears on this picture, but the colour looks beautiful when it is laden with flower. At the other side of the trellis is a maroon shade clematis whose name I have forgotten, but it always flowers at the top and I wish they would flower alongside each other as the colour combination is great. I will try pruning differently next year and hope for a better outcome.
