Looked in me book and it could be the Common Flesh-fly Sarcophaga carnaria. 10-16mm in length....uggghhhh!!

Nice picture DD2, but not very fond of flies though LOL !!!

We found a giant fly in the lounge so I caught it and fed it to the spider in the greenhouse. He must have been hungry cos he came out like a bullet from a gun to grab it. I dont' like using fly spray.

It is Dottie. I love spiders. They do a good job. Trouble is in the greenhouse Gerry goes out there first thing in the morning and gets covered in spiders webs.

You can have all mine then, as I dont like them at all.....
