These little guys' caterpillars feed on Birds-Foot Trefoil, which we have here in the garden. They and their foodplant are completely non-toxic, but they mimic the Cinnabar Moth which feeds on Ragwort and which, by concentrating the plant's poisons in it's own body, is highly toxic and is left alone by birds.
