Flamingos on their mud nest at the San Diego Zoo

Every year many flamingo chicks are born at the San Diego Zoo....the next pic will be of the chicks. Photo taken July 21, 2010.

I love flamingoes. I always wonder how they ever fly with the way they are constructed. I always think of Alice in Wonderland too.

I've never seen these flamingos fly. I assume they have their wings cut.
