Brillantaisia guianensis - Giant Tropical Salvia

Giant Tropical Salvia (not a Salvia) is native to the tropical west Africa. It grows very, very quickly to 8 feet/ 2.5 meter tall...I know this first hand because I have one in my front yard. Photo taken at Quail Botanical Gardens on July 6, 2010.
