Musa 'Ice Cream' - Ice Cream Banana Plants

Musa 'Ice Cream' - Ice Cream Banana Plants (Musa 'Ice Cream' - Ice Cream Banana Plants)

My Ice Cream bananas plants are growing very quickly...putting out a leaf a week, which is typical for this time of year. It's amazing it's still putting out so many leaves considering how unusually cool it has been. Photo taken July 9, 2010.

Mushybanna:

I agree. This banana is very sweet and taste similar to ice cream, hence the name. : > )

Love it! Seems to be living up to its name, and doing well in the cold! :-))

David:

The weather isn't cool enough to really affect most plants. The highs/lows have been well below normal but yesterday hi/low was: High:76F/24C and Low:64F/18C. (there's not too many degrees difference between hi/low temps for the day) if this makes any sense.
