Acrocarpus fraxinifolius - Pink Cedar

Acrocarpus fraxinifolius - Pink Cedar (Acrocarpus fraxinifolius - Pink Cedar)

This tall Pink Cedar (not a true cedar) is growing very well at South Coast Palms. It's one of my favorite trees...and grows very quickly. Photo taken June 21, 2010.

Suey187:

In the ground: it usually grows 6+ feet/ 2+ meters a year for the first 3 or 4 years or so...then it starts to fill out. It's ultimate height here in San Diego, CA. is around 100 feet/ 31 meters tall. However, in the wet topics it grows almost double that height.
