No i just have a fig with a few figs on it ..It does seam to have more than last year though

You have Ficus carica - the edible fig...which is very hardy. The edible fig is much, much hardier than virtually all other Ficus species which are native to the deep tropics (mostly Malaysia, northern South America - the Amazon region, Central Africa and southern India to Australia).
