No harm in trying, you might get a better colour from seed :o)))

It's the only way you can propagate them, Toto. Some will come true, some will hybridize - promiscuous little things! lol.

Amazing colours Toto. Does this Aquilegia have a name? Have you tried growing it from seed?....I know they don't come true from seed but I should love to know if you have grown the seed of this one.

This one is not in my garden and so the answer is no Macpat but I hope to collect some seed of it later and will try this year.

One of my favourites. Have you tried the very deep purple. Altho I must say this is a beautiful specimen. Aquilegia make a great backdrop dont they.

I have a couple of deep purple ones; one is a double which I published a pic of last year. They are nice plants whith a great variety which can be used to fill all sorts of gaps.
