Help,is my bay dead!

Do you think my bay tree is dead,i have scraped the bark and it is green,it lives in a pot but as always been watered.i think the freezing winter as taken its toll.what should i do, give up and get rid or try my best to nurture him back to health.

If it's green under the bark I would keep it. Maybe it would do better in the ground - more protection for the roots in extreme temps.

I've heard somewhere that it's bad luck to have a Bay tree die on you, so I think I'd suggest doing your best to bring it back to life. :-))
