Strawberry "Glory Red"

Strawberry "Glory Red"

Last year, we had strawberry "Marshmello", which were wonderful! I managed to get neasrly 24 babies from them. Gave some away and have potted up the rest for the future. Found this variety, "Glory Red", in a local GC. Best I can find yet to fit in with our "Pirates" theme. Was thinking of swashbuckling and bloodthirst, lol!! Since I took this pic 2 days ago, the fruits are beginning to swell. Soon, that red juice will be flowing. Aharrr!!!

Heard of dropping the "t"s. but never the "r"s ( that sounds rude, lol!). can't imagine a good ol' "Ahaaaaa" without the rolling rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :-D)

By the way - you missed an "r" in stwabewwwies - Ahaa..............!!!!!!

Great idea, Bo'sun, to drop me ars!!!!! Gory Red (with Rs, but no 'ell) sounds gwate! :-D))

Also, alpine strawberries are really good, and easy to grow from seed. If you do this early enough in the year, you even get some fruits by Autumn the same season. :-))

I've seen the pink-flowering ones, Motinot. "Pink Panda", "Red Ruby" and "Lipstick" are popular varieties. :-)
