I pick off the dead ones every day - it's easy at chest height, and I do it as I go out of the gate with Henry!

22 Apr, 2010

Whose chest....your's or Henry's.....lol

22 Apr, 2010

Oh wow lovely together.

22 Apr, 2010

Well - he's not that big a dog - so you can work that one out yourself, Alice!

Thanks, Carol. :-)

wow barbara look stunning together ;o))

22 Apr, 2010

Thank you - I do like to keep the colours 'right' - for the back garden, anyway! lol.

22 Apr, 2010

think its because we spend more time in the back garden barbara lol

22 Apr, 2010

It's not like that here, Sandra - my garden goes round three sides of the house, and the back garden is the smallest area. I actually spend more time in the side part. Yes, I know I'm lucky! :-)))

22 Apr, 2010

yes i know you know your lucky haha, wish i could get lost in my garden, then wouldnt have to hear baz shout,, are we eating today lol

22 Apr, 2010

I do get lost from view - and so does OH...I have to yell and see where he answers from! LOL.

22 Apr, 2010

lol you should get walkie talkies barbara lol

22 Apr, 2010

Good thinking! We tried our walk-about phones, but the range isn't long enough. :-((

22 Apr, 2010

there you go then, have a look online, must be able to get some which are enough range for what you need,,, or you could just carry a bell round lol

22 Apr, 2010

I think it would have to be a VERY large bell - and Henry would bark his head off at it!

We started getting Henry to trot off with a little note tucked in his collar - that works up to a point, but we could do with a little bag or box on his collar, because the notes drop out. How about that? A dog - messenger!

22 Apr, 2010

clever henry, yes something on his collar to slip the note in,,, when you think they used dog messengers in the trenches during war,, very clever,,

He's very intelligent, as all Labs are - I can teach him something new in a few days or sometimes even quicker, depending on what it is - and his mood, naturally! LOL.

When you think of the tasks Labs do as Guide dogs and Hearing Dogs, taking a note to OH is minor, isn't it. I've also seen them with the Bomb Disposal Units. Might that come in handy? ;-)

23 Apr, 2010

they are wonderfull dogs barbara and so loyal to,, maybe i should get rid of baz and get another lab lol

25 Apr, 2010

Oh - poor Baz! :-(((((

25 Apr, 2010
