Aw thanks DD garden bursts into life in spring esp as we are surrounded by trees and once that leaf canopy covers us the summer seems a bit dull plant wise.

This looks the business. Really good show of height and colour.

Jealous now!! :0)

Well...youre doing well in your garden though Ob...following your blogs...coming on a real treat !

22 Apr, 2010

Why thank you! I just find it fascinating when I see other people's efforts and think.....hmmmmm, that would look good if I had the space and some things I see I would never have liked before but seeing ideas on here is inspiring.

I think I love the wildlife aspect of your haven as well:0)

Plus, my soil is crap to say the least. Either full-on clay or full of conifer roots, hence the amount of planters but still love it!

Oh Ob..what a combination...clay and roots ! We were lucky...after we got rid of all the rock....lovely fertile soil underneath..hard work but worth it !
Love to see how the wildlife is flocking to your garden too..those goldfinches are a real bonus !
Only lived here 2 years..totally overgrown and neglected...but now feel that we are nurturing the garden...whilst giving the wildlife the best we can offer. Thanks for your lovely comments....
