Thanks Lori..yes they ARE addictive! They used to die on me, but I decided to give them another try this year...both my mother and my paternal grandmother love(d) them...glad to say the two I have right now are still alive! This one is actually still blooming...

If you have good light for phals...your AV's will do well too.... usually an east window or in your case, probably a north window! looks like the blinds are allowing enough light to keep it happy. Best fertilizer of AV's is Schultz's Instant...just 7 drops per litre of water and they will bloom their little heads off!~

Thank Lori! Actually the african violets are at home now, and though the blinds stay mostly closed (it gets too hot otherwise as I get a lot of sun) they are doing very well!
