Here comes spring in a rush!

You said it Greenthumb I wish I could run fast enough to keep up. The weekend was so mild we were able to sit out for coffee and lunch but today we have another howling gale and showers.

Rough sounding weather. Glad you had a nice day to enjoy. He are still cold and white, but the sun has been at it for days, giving a spring feeling to the air anyway.

At least new rains now with nourish the spring growth, rather than keep it at bay where it colder.

Spring has certainly been delayed but the plants seem to have an inbuilt clock which moves them forward very quickly as soon as the weather improves. I aim to plant some of my potatoes at the end of the month and give Moongrowers system a try. Our oldest gardening group member (90 +) used to say plant onions on the shortest day and lift them on the longest day. That was how they did it on his fathers farm in Ireland nearly one hundred years ago and probably earlier.
