He must be happy enough if he sticks to the same roost, like Holly says, makes you wonder how they survive the cold.

Thanks girls ....I don't know why he won't go inside , he sits and looks in the kitchen window , I feel guilty when I draw the curtains because I feel as though i'm shutting him out ..... he takes ages to warm through in the morning , it's a miracle that any bird survives this freezing cold ....

Does Snowball go inside, Amy? Perhaps Fundge would like to spend the night in your kitchen :)

I have only seen him go inside and then come straight out Gee he never stays in .... I have thought about trying to bring him in but I don't think it would be the right thing to do .... If he can survive this I reckon he could survive anything, don't you ? ........

they are ok even though we worry, if they eat plenty to build up fat and their feathers have iols to keep them dry, fluffed up he should be quite warm,i think he is being protective over snowball, looking out for her amy

Thank you Carole I hope so , we are so protective of them aren't we ...I have been feeding him and all the other birds non stop ... Sandra you can see how fluffed up they are when they are keeping warm , they look like balls that could bounce .. .I'm sure he is protective of Snowball , they know they are my favourites as soon as they see me they come down to me ....

aww that lovely amy, i have a pigeon who is the only one who doesnt fly when i approach, he just sits and watches me putting seed out, so i throw a bit in front of him, he likes that i think

LOL I'm sure they soon learn how to get an extra treat ..... they listen when I talk to them and cock there heads from side to side as though they understand , it's quite funny :o)

i know what you mean, im sure they know we like them amy, im giving my son orders to feed every day while im away, cant have them thinking i dont care

Awww so thts where Fudge sleeps.As everyone says Amy...if Fudge can fluff up like that every night and trap warm air..he should be fine.Providing he eats well....which goes without saying at your house.....I wouldnt worry.
