Indian Runner ducks

Indian Runner ducks (Duckums Pennus)

Grew these from fluffy ducklings, about ready to come into lay I think.
They seem to like the wet weather and are first line of defense against the slugs and snails. They come running to me to see what the latest treat is, their favourite is tomato and lettuce or greens of some sort chopped up in water, and fat juicy slugs. One day it was raining so hard I donned a blue pac a mac with the hood up, they got quite panicky because they didn't recognise me.

Oh you've got me broody!! I love them. Funny about the pac a mac - One of my rabbits will only come to me when i am wearing my work uniform.

Hi Bluebell, animals are cute, more brains than we credit them with. I love the way the ducks wag their tails in greeting, anticipation and contentment

Spring is in the air and now they are fanning out their tail feathers
preening and twitching their wings, sort of a courtship thing though there
is no drake. LOL
