Early summer downunder: Allamanda cathartica in bloom

This is my dwarf yellow allamanda - much prefer the dwarf variety.

I gave this one a very good trim back in early spring ... and it certainly picked up! It had been suffering a bit under a huge old hibiscus ... they both got a trim and now they're both happier.

Yes, Hibiscus and Allamanda really get rejunvenated by a good pruning every year. Most flowering plants
develop buds on new growth.
