I recently had these two windows put in where there were none. Just finished setting it up this morning with lights to supplement during the winter. Also the lights will be very good for cloudy days during the rest of the year. I put up 1 x 4 boards behind the lights. The boards direct the light down and back into the room and when it's dark out they hide the light tubes from being seen from outside. This was a good day to do the lights as it's raining today and it's very gloomy. My computer desk is across from the windows. Sitting here the lights make it feel sunny. Maxi kept a good eye on me while I was working. As you can see it was very exhausting so she is taking a nap :)

You have a lovely collection and the window is just so great gives the whole area a new feel and look great with the plants too

Mike I'm in IN which is growing zone 5b too. Thought I'd ask if you've planted any cool weather plants yet or started anything inside. When do you think I should start tomato seeds inside?

Hi dollhouselady, I think now is the time to start your tomato seeds. It's about six weeks to May first. By then they should be ready and a good size to bring outside. I hope this year is better for tomatoes. With all the rain last year they didn't do well here at all.
