Clumsy gardening

Im not usually a clumsy person but when out in the garden I seem to transform into something like Mr Bean on amphetamines… my normal size 9 feet seem to sprout into small skis and instead of tip-toeing through the tulips a la Fred Astaire, my big plates seems to home in on fresh, delicate shoots and crush them.
My ability to gently brush past a shrub seems to disappear & changes into a headlong stride into the heart of the bush – anyone else suffer from this affliction ?

Your comments really made me laugh because you are quite right in what you say - I'm very clumsy too - whilst in the garden yesterday I managed to squash some of the pulmonaria plants I was standing near, and the more I tried to be careful the worse it became.

I don't know about you but I find myself saying sorry to the plant if I do that - mad Eh ?

I didn't realize the cobra lilies were emerging and stepped on one, but thankfully didn't do much harm! I'm always on tiptoe in the garden this time of year, always twisting this way and that in my attempts to avoid awakening plants. Someday I'll probably sprain an ankle.
