A Rally of Reds!

No enhancement needed, the reds are so
naturally vibrant this year.
The Nandina below is almost blood red.

Below is the beautiful ’Jordan’Acer.

Just thought I would pop in the ‘Red Fox’ !! Painted for a friend who is very involved in wildlife protection and care. She has recently adopted a baby ‘skunk’ !!

The colours are amazing Julia and can't understand why my Nandina doesn't have much colour.
I like your fox!

Lovely blog, M. All pics are spectacular. My Nandinas are red but not quite as bright as yours. I like the photo of the Acer in the pot with the blue seat to the left, a nice little spot in your garden. Thanks for sharing all that colour with us.

Thank you so much Rose...there are a few Nandinas here which don't colour up half as much as this one .This one is in full sun and hardly ever watered.

Thank you FF....the Acer to which you are referring has been in its original pot for about 15 years....should have been repotted but it seems happy.

I like Mr Foxy!
All your autumn hues are lovely. We don't seem to have had much colour here - all the acer leaves have pretty much disappeared already.

A gorgeous selection of rich autumn colour. Julia!!! Love it!
My acers have been a little disappointing this year..
Your fox painting is just lovely.

Julia, such a variety of plant in those lovely shades, really pretty. I do admire your Fox painting but will just say that we have a real Fox coming into the garden once or twice a week, I don't appreciate it leaving a mess on the patio and/or the plants though, yuk!

Such generous comments thank you so very much everyone. Shirley, when I added the painting you came into my mind because I suddenly remembered your disruptive visitor but hoped you wouldn't mind. This one is quite well trained!!
Kate that's a real shame about your Acers not doing so well. Are they planted in the soil or potted?

Thank you Sheila ,Ange,Balcs and Hywel.
