New Residence!

This bird box has been in the garden for a few years…..we have hoped each year the Bluetits would use it and low and behold, this year we were lucky.
They have been very busy for weeks deciding whether they would ,flying back and fro.
The following photos are as clear as I could manage…..I think it is the chick peeping out.How many,I’ve no idea and the final departure we will probably miss.

We haven't seen the parent birds feeding their young for some days now. Just hope the latter have left the nest and that there isn't a sinister reason for their absence.

Once the babies are big enough both parents will go for longer looking for food to feed the babies if your not watching 24-7 you could quite easy miss their visits.

These must surely be the nicest neighbours to have.

We had bluetits in our box last year. We noticed a third tit would come by now & then & just look in through the hole. We wondered if they formed family groups.
A week later the parents abandoned the nest, we have no idea why. I hope yours fledged safely.
We've no takers this year.
