First show's over now!

Shrewsbury flower show has finished again for another year. I was pleased with the results, a first for the stand- class 6, The Hammond cup. Third for a class of 6 Begonias, and third for a class of three Begonias. In both the class of 6 and the class of 3 when i looked closley at the plants i could see why the 1st had won, but the second should have been 3rd and 3rd should have been 2nd. In both cases the display that came second had poorer quality blooms – edging, and on one plant not one bloom was facing front.
My friend that i have helped at the show other years has been in hospital over the period of the show which has meant that i have been looking after his plants as well as my own before and after the show – I seem to have been running around continuously for the last week. Hopefully he will be out soon, i shall try to get in to see him ASAP now that i have been through all of both his and my greenhouses watering and checking the plants and putting everything away after the show.
I have got some pictures, which i will load up when i have time, but i shall have to get off to work shortly!

Do you have time for anything else? It must almost be a full time job looking after your begonias, let alone your friend's! Congratulations, by the way...

I must admit that around show time there isn't much time for anything else, but now that the main show is over the busiest part is also over. There are a few smaller local / village shows i am planning on entering.
My friend Stan is now back out of hospital, although he is still not
100per cent he is much better than he was.
