Hi Mark,
I think wood "new wood" has something special about it,
It's a bit like an open fire, very much that home feel.

The new wood gives you a chance to think "now what can i make with this lot".

A few years ago now i went on a weeks cause on how to use a router and lathe,

Just beginners cause on using these tools ,

On the first day we we're introduced to the tools, and a good chat ref working in a safe way rather than take your finger off and then ask why!

By 12 noon we we're introduced to the wood we"d be using to make a "Welsh single back three legged chair,"

I remember looking at the wood ie 1 x a small square ,
3 x longer wooden bits, and this 1 x piece that would be the chairs back.
I remember thinking "not much wood here"
It wasn't until the Friday and the chair was finished
(with its hidden lucky 5pence coin encased in the chair) that i looked at this chair and thought all this from a few bits of cheap wood.

You really can pass away the hours and end up with something special by using a few bits of wood.

(And keep your best friend happy, "Ask bonnie")
