Bless him, what a lovely thought, and so generous. The back four should last ages even if the busy lizzies have a short life. I'm surprised anybody is still selling them - noticed some in Tesco last week.

hi Scotkat thank you :))
will they be ok in pots just for this year ? xx :))

Gerberas are not hardy but you can take back indoors before the frost .

If it is Kalanchoe same applies.

I adore Gerberas.

Jordan choose well.

What a thoughtful lad xxx

With the bizzies, this may be a hard ask but can you keep them sheltered?
There is a thought thst the virus that attacks them is carried on the rain, even a couple indoors as house plants (how I first knew them)
may be nice, The other year I kept some in a gh for display and they lasted all summer.
They root very easily, when theindoor ones get a bit leggy show Jordan how to shorten them and put the stems in water, I used to do this years ago and they rooted easily and fun to watch. When lots of roots pot up and keep them indoors too......or give away

Scotcat beat me to it!
Brilliant idea to keep some of the BLs indoors. When I was a child they were often grown as house plants - long before anyone began to use them for bedding. Rooting cuttings in a glass jar as Pam suggests would be great for Jordan as he could watch their progress.
