Be a good girl and take your medicine Bonnie, if you look very sorry for yourself for a few days you'll also get lots of treats when your tummy is better........
Woofs and tail wags from Brynner and Morgan......

Hope she recovers soon Mark, it is hard when they are suffering, you'll probably find she'll sleep a lot at first and also get very thirsty when the antibiotics kick in, thats how they effect both of ours ....

I am sorry for Bonnie, she looks really ill. Hope she will be soon OK. Was it virus, is the vet sure? I hope it wasn´t your neighbour, there are wicked people who sometimes give to animals poison for rats. It happened to our cats several times. Take care, Mark.

Hi all thankyou so much for your kind wishes. She is appearing a bit better today. She doesnt seem as hot as yesterday which is good.

I have since added a question on here as we found some fungi under the grass by our potting shed today and we think this may have been the cause.Never seen it before it was very well buried.

Thankyou all again mark, julie, jordan and bonnie xxx

Get well soon Bonnie, you look very comfortable all wrapped up in your blankets.

1 Jun, 2013

can you get the fungus checked and identified? the vet might be able to at least know in which direction to move if it is the cause

hope you feel better soon Bonnie... Horrible when there unwell isn't it mark....

Hi all thankyou for your kind wishes. She is now seeming a lot better which is good.

Showed a friend of mine the fungus as he his good at these things and he said it wouldnt be that as it is not harmful and apparently we could eat it.Not that i would like to try.So i guess it is back to the drawing board of sussing out what made her ill.

Thankyou all again xxx

Good news that she's improving Mark, sometimes you can't find what she's picked up, bit like us really I suppose

Glad to hear the good news - shame a cause hasn't been found yet - makes it hard to stop something happening again if the cause of the first isn't clearly identified - but animals vary as much as people, what some people like to eat can upset others. Fingers crossed that she'll soon be back on all her feet and bouncing around again.

Hi Pam and Fran she is certainately a lot better and bouncing around. We will keep making sure she isnt being a noisey parker and into things she shouldnt and we are going to be extra cautious when she goes for walks.I think thats all we can really do for the minute. It is great to have her well again:)))))

Hi Mark
Good to read that Bonnie is perkier now. :o)))
Yes, sensible to be extra cautious when out on walks.

Hi TT i think thats the only thing we can really do as normally we let her sniff anywhere in reason lead length.Touch wood we have had no more sickness etc with her.

I have just touched julies head when i said wood lol:))))
