My daughter is just having all her garden redone,as her husband is a builder they didnt need a hand from me,

Although im not needed for the hard work,THANK GOD LOL,my daughter as asked me if i could build her a train planter like the original one i did.

Of course me being a loving father agreed. But for some reason this one is turning out a little different to the first.Instead of one carriage there will be two ,one for each granddaughter to plant there favourite plant in.:)))))

Brill Mark, that will look splendid filled with flowers and will be something to treasure. My hubb. was given a train, with four carriages (but I didnt fill it this year as the weather was so awul) when he retired, take a look at my photos page 8.!

My late add was a joiner and made our son when he was wee tipper truck and now I use it as a planter but then it gets put back in greenhouse over the winter.

Dad would have loved seeing what you have made Mark.

We also still have a wooden sledge with runners Dad made.

Oh think that was a clap of thunder.

Mark yours will be fab too, what colour are you going to paint it? If you would like an authentic train number I can ask my hubb. to tell me one for you!

Here is a suggestion Mark.
1008...... which is the number for a Lancashire & Yorkshire railway. Aspinall design tank engine(242) similar shape to yours Mark. Hope this meets with your approval :)

ps. Mark, my hubb, Pete, says you should put the number on the cab part of the train!!

I love the wooden planters you make Mark, it makes a gift even more special when actually made by the person giving it, we can all buy them at lots of places but I bet yours are stronger....
