The Seasons First Flush of Summer

It has been a lovely day today so I have just wandered around the garden looking to see what has flowered.
This is what I found. Hope you enjoy them too.

Rambling Rector on the percola was supposed to have been removed last year but a portion of the root was not destroyed so it is here to live another day thank goodness.

I didn’t know this pond plant flowered

I remember your rambling rector from last year. You've got some very pretty plants :)

So glad the Rambling Rector survived to bloom another day. It's looking beautiful. Lots of colour in your garden too.

Everything looking great, the succulents adorable, roses looking wonderful. I always think roses tend to be looked at overall, but not individually, just as a flowering whole, not as beautiful little specimen miracles of their own. We should all look more closely at our plants, not just for the bugs, but for the beauty.

Agree, Honeysuckle.

Isn't the Passion Flower a striking plant?

Very lovely Marjorie. My faves are the succulent planter and the pink/white pelargonium. I’m wondering why you tried to remove the rambler...was it too big? It looks wonderful now!

Thank you all for your lovely compliments ,the garden is a lovely calm place to sit and contemplate. Unfortunately the weather here is very windy. The other day we felt the local
rumbling of the earth, it was over very quickly .

Karen :
Rambling Rector was supposed to be removed last year because it was very rampant even though we regularly pruned it. I am very happy that we left a little bit of root and it has grown again. I am going to keep it under control as a pillar.
