The cyclamen are beautiful and the Sedum promising food for the bees. Your Jap. Anemone looks very well behaved, perhaps it's not as rampant as the pink ones, which I spend half my gardening time trying to get rid of!
Lucky you having some rain, I am despondent trying to keep pots alive through this summer, we are on clay soil and the garden is cracked like a desert!

Hi Honeysuckle

The area where these Japanese Anenomes are was a border until we gravelled it but I find that every year more and more of them are growing through the membrane.
I keep pulling them out with out success .
The one I really would like to grow is called Wild Swan which has lovely lilac markings on the back of the petals.
I have a plant which I bought at Tatton Flower Show in 2011 but it is very weak. Has any body grown this variety ? By the way my soil is also clay.

I will put a picture on the site

Thanks to all of you for your lovely comments.

All looks really lovely Marjorie, I have the white and pink anenomes here and have to say its the pink one that struggles to survive here as do the cyclamen...
