just in case anybody wonders where is he, i have been dealing with the somewhat expected but still sudden demise of my father in law. just picking up the pieces and sorting everything out. it is hectic.
it would be nice if people answered the phone instead of giving you a recorded message. it got so bad i rang the complaints department of his local authority and vented my fury. it seemed to work as had a return call from them.
as he and i did not have the best of relationships will not shed too many tears.
the woofer is getting a little pixxed off being left alone for long periods, she is over the moon when i turn up!

Sad news I can imagine all the work involved having dealt with my mother in laws demise some years ago, hope it's sorted for you soon.

Sorry to hear about your father in law. Even though you say you didn't have a good relationship with him, you were connected together through your wife, so it's still a wrench.
I can understand how frustrated you feel with authorities and officials, and how endless it is sorting through a deceased's belongings etc. I've been through it myself.
You have my sympathy.
