Gymnocalycium & Garden

Maybe hywel can give some more direction on this one, there seems to be a few similar in colour…

Mammillaria spinosissima ‘Un Pico’??

Little Haworthia cooperi going mad with 2 inflorescence.

Gasteria baylisiana

Red Lampranthus now starting to flower

Yes, I have day lilies! :-)

Finally, you know my “dragons” by now, but I told you that there may have been a baby, last year -- welll…

I finally caught him/her (it) on camera – it is still a little afraid of the fatty on 2 legs, but will learn I am no threat. There has been another arrival too, so we have 4 dragons now and they hunt in plain sight, especially where there are flowers and insects.

Ok, hope you enjoyed the post!

Thanks - yes, I love my "wildlife" in the garden, they moved in about 6-8 months after I started to develop the garden, and decided to stay, I guess one cannot ask for a better compliment.

I tried looking it up. ... Because of the flower with a redish throat, it may be G. vatteri.
The other one could be Mammillaria spinosissima. So many are simmilar

Your succulents are great. They're fascinating aren't they.
What do your dragons think of them ;o)

They must love them, very little other plants but they chose busy type plants like Salvia's to hide behind at night and in winter. What about Gymnocalycium pflanzii?

Thank you Homebird.

Yes it could be that one aswell. Actually the spines look more alike in that one.
