cherry trees rather than net curtains!

Just spent a glorious two hours out in my front garden weeding and making plans for summer colour!took some photos but felt rather strange! The neighbours dont seem to be into gardening like me!
I re did the garden three years ago and dug up the edge to edge lawn in favour of slate as we only have rear access to our back garden through the garage which was a trouble getting the mower out with cars in there! The privet hedge was planted as bare root tiny twigs and has really done well!I put the trees in to make some more privacy rather than net curtains!Future plans are some hanging baskets and pots round the front door !

Looks really good - havent't got time for people who just hard cover their whole front gardens - concrete, tarmac, slabs - you name it. Where is the rain supposed to go? What's wrong with gravel or, as you've done, slate - looks lovely especially when it rains.

yes i agree and you dont have to worry about the hose pipe ban for saving your lawn in drought conditions!
