It’s a lovely sunny morning and we went to feed the ducks, geese and swans down by the river. There was still some mud in places along the path and wood floating down on the river. The tearooms were being worked on and people were digging out the two flowerbeds in the front space. The birds were all very hungry, including the Crows and our usual Robin. The river was still rough and a bit high but the floods had gone down. We walked for about 45 minutes and have come home for a cup of coffee.
Tete-a-tete daffodils are all out with the cyclamen and the snowdrops, which have been amazing, and the hellebores have just started to bloom too, so it’s all getting going now and we’ll have to mow the lawn soon. Anyway take care everyone…Linda x

Your writing is very descriptive Linda so yes I can picture it in my mind, your walk sounds lovely, pleased the weather has changed and you were able to enjoy being out for a while, such a relief the river is going down... I still haven't tried doing a blog, gave up on the last one but must try again even if its only nonsense..

yes me too, and we have seen the area before in your other blogs so it is easy to visualise your walk today.

It all sounds so lovely and you painted a beautiful picture of it in words.

Our whole garden would benefit from the lawn being mown but it is too wet still at the moment but I am itching to get out there and sort it out!

I agree, Linda, there is a feel of things 'getting going'. I felt it today when I was outside, cutting back.

Hi Anget SBG and Wildrose. It's a miserable morning, Gerry is making a loaf of bread, then we are off on our walk. The news isn't good with Russia invading Ukraine. Why can't the world live in peace and work together. With the virus and global warming the earth has enough troubles of it's own.
I think we all have itchy feet to get going in our gardens. I think the birds will be nesting early. They are all in fine feathers and looking very good. I bought a teapot from a charity shop and have put moss in it just in case the little birds need somewhere to hide and nest. (Spout down of course so water doesn't get in there.) I'll let you know if the 'to let' sign gets taken down....
