Through the window

The snow looks beautiful but I know it is very cold outside. Why not just look through the windows?

couldn't agree more Linda and apart from knocking snow off some of the conifers, filling the bird feeders and bringing in the recycle bin I haven't been outside. And I don't intend too as it is snowing again.

It looks very serene and lovely Linda - just as long as you can stick to looking through the window! Guess there will be some people saying Thank goodness we don't have to drive to work today! No snow here but very cold.

Wonderful framed pictures there, Linda. I hope the extreme cold in the North isn't affecting you too much.
You look to have plenty of books to keep you occupied! What would we do without them? I've gone through so many novels over the last few months - stopped me going too stir crazy!

Lovely collection of snowy pics, Linda. Looks like a right snowfall up there! Have to agree with Ange, you’ve a lot of lovely books there to snuggle up with..

I agree, its lovely just looking out the window and like Seaburn, I just fill the feeders and take out the bins!
I have read more this last year than I have ever read! My friend brought round ( socially distancing of course) a collection of Lucinda Riley books which I couldn't put down!
I loved all your snowy pictures!

Best place to be when it's snowy outdoors - is indoors! No doubt Hywel would agree as well!

We have had a little snow but nowhere near as much as it looks you have had!

We had two Sundays in a row with snow falling & on the ground but last Sunday didn't quite make 3 in a row as it snowed during the early hours of Monday morning. Nevertheless, at lunch time the majority had faded away!

Yesterday we had a brief snow shower - just enough to replenish what disappeared from Monday! That too had gone by lunch time!

So far today, apart from a few dancing snowflakes, we haven't seen any snow. Even so the Met Office has yellow warnings for all the right hand side of the UK for a day or two more so we may still see some more of the white stuff before it's all over.

No snow at all here, though in the distance the hilltops look white. The pond is frozen though, and so am I...

I stayed in today and got on with painting. It was lovely looking out into the garden.
I read a lot. My book club has been cancelled for a year now so I read what I like. I read a lot of Swedish books and Booker winners. The Sunday Times book list has been ok and the top hundred books list is good too. I average a book every one to two weeks so at the moment with lockdown my kindle is red hot.

I worked in a bookshop for years so really miss seeing the new titles that used to come in. It's quite hard to find new things to enjoy when your stuck with Amazon. Nothing beats browsing in a proper bookshop. I've pushed through a few Bookers in my time. Glad you're finding good ones, Linda.

There is something special about opening a new book. Gardening, art books and cook books are hopeless on a kindle, I only download fiction.

It always looks very pretty seen through the window. I wish the bitterly cold wind would drop.
My birds always go for a drink when I gave poured hot water on the frozen water bowl. I hope people remember how important this is during freezing weather. Nice, pretty blog, thank you, Linda.
