It,s been a long time.

It has been a long time since i last blogged. 2 months, but i have been very busy, sorry for the neglect. I have been sorting out my photos, which were in a huge mess. I did not know how to sort them and i wanted to get them backed up, in case of loss. My friend and neighbour, Carole came to the rescue and i have been doing it now for a week but I am not even half way there, but I will prevail.
I am enjoying my lucky year in the garden, I seem to be doing things right this year! I am as amazed as you are by this statement, but things seem to be going better this year. My veggie bed is producing great quantities of lettuce, rocket, radish and spinach. Like wise the greenhouse, I am early with my tomatoes an even peppers seem to be growing this year, amazing.
I n the gardens flowers are blooming well and I have not had many losses. Things seem to be going well with colours too, with only a few things in the wrong place.
The only bad things are the weather and slugs and snails, which seem to go hand in hand. I cart bucketfulls of them daily to rough ground on the side of my garden but they are there again the next day, I cannot kill anything so I have to share my garden with them, but they will not so far stick to the rules ie:the eat the weeds and not my plants! maybe I will have to go over the the rules again with them today. I hope we get some sunshine soon.
Thompson and morgan have got a seed sale on at the moment, so I cheered myself up and spent £20..00 on next year’s garden. Got to look on the bright side. Happy Gardening!

Well done on sorting your photos ... it can be a nightmare if you're not sure what to do ... always a good idea to back up!
If you don't want to despatch your slimy visitors for good while not take them miles away & dump them when you next go for a shopping trip or something?
I read once that a lady gardener put Tippex on snails' shells & put them in the next field & they came back within a few days! :O)

I agree with that...my mother is always saying how nice mine looks compared to hers & hers looks just as good to me! I think your garden is amazing! Love the big plantings or as Shirley tulip put it "the masses of colourful plants"
I sit there all summer thinking 'I should move this over here & that over there'....I never seem to be quite satisfied with the way it looks.

Floralhead my neighbours used to ask me what i was doing standing in the front garden staring into space, now they all know that i am planning and plotting. I get cross with myself because i have moved a certain plant too many times. I think the most beneficial time in the garden is when you sit and look until you really see! otherwise you miss out on a lot and my best groupings have come from this!
