Weekend in pictures

I certainly made full use of my free time this warm and sunny weekend. Jim was only late shift, son Dan was still away of business in Brazil so there was no chance of one of his announced Sunday visits. Daughter Kerry was at home waiting for her hubby`s return from Russia which left me both Saturday and Sunday afternoons all to myself in the garden with my trusty assistant Perry…bliss!

In the car waiting to drive to the park. Perry doesn`t lie down until we drive off.

Having a mad and happy moment after wading through a flooded area in nearby Upton Park.

Having a well earned rest after his exertions.

Looking down at Windsor Castle

A Blue Tit sitting in the Magnolia

A Goldfinch at the nyger seed feeder

I decided to tidy up the greenhouse and ended up giving it a thorough clean with Jeyes Fluid, it smells lovely and fresh now.

I moved all of my plants that were over-wintering outside, they`ll be fine even if we do have the odd frost or two. I love this Oleander and am very pleased the bitter Winter weather spared it.

This olive tree should have survived the Winter outside but I didn`t want to take any chances.

I`ve moved the tree fern back to its usual place and the tree and I`m pleased to see that there is a new frond coming up. Last year I lost my little tree fern so I`m really glad this one survived the Winter.

I tried to publish this blog yesterday but my internet went down and I just couldn`t get back online again. I couldn`t believe it this afternoon when I logged on and saw that my GOY blog was still on my front page. I haven`t done any gardening the last couple of days because there really isn`t very much for me to do. Tomorrow however I`m bringing home a new fragrant Clematis that I`ve had my eye on at work…I have just the place for it. :o)

Perry looks very happy Sandra, our Morgan always heads for the water no matter how deep or dirty it is, Brynner has only ever been near water on his lead so we`ve yet to learn whether he will be a water dog, I think that will be fun.
Your Magnolia is stunning and nice shots of the birds, I agree it is good to have time to ourselves in our gardens,in fact I admit to being very selfish if I`m busy outside and oblivious to anything else going on around me.I think I`ve lost my Clematis Montana, it was doing really good last year but I`m afraid theres no signs of life at all ,shame as it helped disguise part of my dogrun, I thought that one was indestuctable......
