Langley Park in bloom

Yesterday afternoon we decided it would be nice to take Perry to Langley Park for his afternoon walk…I for one am so glad we did. The park is full of Azaleas and Rhododendrons and of course I had my trusty camera with me so I could show you what it looked like. Come with me on my walk. :o)

Perry managed to find the boggiest, most evil smelling ditch in the whole park…he looked as if he had black socks on. Thank goodness he didn`t decide to roll in it…lol!

We were really tired when we finally got back to the car but it really had been a lovely afternoon. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

I saw the doctor about my painful neck and I have have an ultra-sound but my appointment isn`t until May 10th. In the meantime I have to take painkillers, especially at night which is the worse time. They really don`t help much but I don`t know what else I can do. I have a heat lamp and that does give me some relief for a while so I`ll keep using that for now…enough of my moaning. Today we visited Savill Garden in Surrey and I have loads of photos but I`ll save that for the next time. :o))

PS: Forgot to say..the Giant Sequoia (pictured) is quite big but only as tall as the lower branches of the biggest one in the world which is, if I remember rightly, 235 feet tall!

Thanks Bloomer, I do get a bit down sometimes with the pain but I try to cheer myself up by thinking that others are far worse off than myself. The main problem is not being able to get comfortable at night and not being able to sleep properly. Glad you liked the photos, it really looks lovely at this time of year. :o)

Such a great display of rhodies....I always remember us having a huge one in our front garden growing up....it used to attract loads of bees.

I do hope you find your neck pain easing...pain does wear you down and don't feel bad about having a moan...loss of sleep is hard enough to cope with and being in pain as well will just be too much some days. You do well to get out for your excursions, Sandra :)

I'm glad Perry enjoyed himself aswell lol :o)
Sorry your neck is still painful. It must be very unpleasant and frustrating. I hope you can get some relief from it soon.

Beautiful! What lovely tree planting, they look so lovely with all their different shapes and colours. 'Black socks' bring memories of our old Lab/Retriever cross who would find the nastiest, smelliest, most disgusting things to roll in on a meadow/river walk but I think she only did it because she knew she'd either get a bath or a hopepipe wash in the garden followed by a blow-dry with the hair dryer!

Lovely photos, Sandra, and what a beautiful place to take a walk. I did look twice when I saw Perry's feet! Sorry your neck is still painful, would a 'heat-wrap' help at all?
