A Whole Week to Garden

I`ve taken a week off work so I can get some work done outside though unless the rain stops I doubt I`ll be able to get much done. This morning I sowed all the seeds for the Summer and put them in the heated propagator. I`m not all that lucky with growing my own seeds so fingers crossed this year will be different. I`ve been taking photos over the last couple of weeks, some of my garden and some of the woods where I walk Perry.

After a winter where very few birds visited the garden the Goldfinches have returned in force and are eating like there was no tomorrow!

White crocuses

Hellebore orientalis

Delphinium `black knight`

Primula vulgaris.

Bergenia

Cream crocuses

Heuchera `caramel

Brunnera `jack frost`

Black Park

At least someone enjoyed getting muddy and wet…lol!

Winter Aconites

Cornus sibericas

Agapanthus coming up

I`m really hoping for some dry days because Jim wants to replace the fence panels and post that our neighbour damaged and at the moment the ground is much to wet to stand on. There are plants I want to move and weeds that I want to pull up. I suppose I`ll just have to put up with the rain because I don`t want to waste my week.

Its getting much busier at work now with customers thinking ahead to Spring and and dare I say it, Summer. We had a few warm sunny days last week and its amazing what that can do. It seems to make people feel so much better and for gardeners, that means the garden.

Now for a cuppa and a biscuit and settle down to watch TV for an hour. :o)

I do hope the rain isn't too heavy and you get some dry weather to begin getting the garden sorted. Good luck with your seedlings too.

Have a great week.
