What do you do when you can't sleep?

I tossed and turned for about an hour then decided to visit GOY. Checked for replys to comments I had made and replied to some replies. Then checked out new pictures. Nice to have friends who are there 24/7 to pass the time with. :)

Great site.

I've seen GOY in the middle of the night too. And I've had messages from other members who are awake in their night when it's daytime here.
There's always someone around :o)

how we have developed a world community with the internet is just totally amazing. 30 years ago you didn't even think it was possible.

I agree it is amazing that we have members from Fiji and Oz to Alaska and Brazil. I know Ajay was worried that his vision was drifting from a strict garden forum but he should be delighted that he is providing a platform for good people whom share many common interests. Members in northern Europe and America are out of the main garden season at the moment but come the spring we will be flooding GOY with our garden babies again.

I have the opposite problem - can fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I need at least 8 hours sleep but seldom get it.

Hi....at least with GOY round the clock you can always find someone to chat with or just browsing pictures !

The best way to nod off is to try to stay awake,
Iagree with Ams, i love seeing gardens from around the world, and being able to chat with thier owners so easily,
and if we do go off topic sometimes all the better, i love my world wide goy,

Oh no FF. That's the power of suggestion. LOL. It's only 8:00 pm here but I've been on here in the middle of our night too. It's great to be able to chat with friends at any time of the day or night. Still, if I'm honest, I would rather sleep the night through......No offense intended.... :o)

I've sometimes had nights where I've not slept at all, due to pain. Nothing can get rid of it sometimes. Trouble is, my laptop is by my bed and I can't log on incase it wakes my hubby up. He is usually awake by 4am anyway but does get grumpy with me if I do get up coz he then worries about me! Even my dog isn't interested if I go down to the kitchen! Pfff!! If I put the light on, one of my cats starts jumping at the door handle and that wakes my dd up! Eeeek! Now I've got back into gardening again, I find it helpful to try and imagine what my garden will look like when its all "grown" up!! Maybe I also ought to imagine each plant growing slowly...........? That'll make us nod off surely!!!
