On my heathers a peacock butterfly and a small tortoiseshell one it gives me hope of what’s to come this spring especially as the butterflies are in decline it’s a lovely sunny day here in Wales .

We are having good weather as well, I too have seen some butterflies and ladybirds around, it does look promising K'gran, I've taken advantage and been clearing last years old leaves off the Iris in my ponds, just in time actually as the frogs have moved back and are really enjoying themselves, much to the dismay of our little westie Harriet she cannot get at them as I have both ponds covered with mesh, lol.....Lovely photo's..

We have had a beautiful day - sat outside in the garden for lunch - saw a huge bee and a wasp or two but your butterflies win the prize!

Lovely to see them in the sunshine. This morning we had a cuppa out in the little sunhouse and saw a large Bee and then a Peacock butterfly. The butterfly was perched on the edge of a bird bath, wings opening and closing for ages in the sun, just lovely.
