Took the opportunity to capture a few colourful pics today as I travelled through North Lincolnshire.
It’s lovely to see some pretty foliage lingering in mid November.
The weather changed by the time I crossed the Humber Bridge..darkness was falling and it started to rain.
Cosy evening with the log burner bewitching us as always.

You've captured stunning trees there Kate. I do love especially the woodland ones. Just beautiful.

Thanks so much, Rose! That's a lovely compliment.
I have to say, it's a real benefit the log burner. Makes winter much more cosy and bearable.

Thanks kindly, Hywel, happy you like the pics. The church is in Kirton Lindsey, a lovely little town.

lovely blog as we have come to expect from you on your travels. We ventured over on the bike on Tuesday and the tree colours were beautiful, just as you have captured.
The Humber Bridge does look lovely coming to it from the south bank just as twilight lands. Looks pretty compared to he north bank.

Thank you, Eileen, that's so kind of you.
Good to hear you both got out on your bikes, we haven't ventured out since September. I can imagine you had a lovely trip out! The scenery is so colourful right now as you say.
I do agree with you, as I drive down towards the bridge from the Southbank, it's much more scenic. Twilight is a favourite time.

Lesley, I'm pleased you enjoyed your trip out, and got to enjoy the gorgeous autumn sights in your area! It's sometimes not the easiest time to capture them on camera.
Thank you for liking my pics from this week x

Lovely photos Kate. Enjoy your burner. I shall miss mine very much, even though they are a lot of work.

Thank you, Karen. They are lovely, log burners, but you're right, a lot of work!

Don't you love autumn, Kate? It's my favourite time of year. lots of work gets done when you can work hard and not die from moisture loss! we have a succession of colours from the flaming maples all the way through to the bronze oaks and brilliant yellow aspens, and the aroma of leaves on the ground... Wonderful! Thanks to a family member I have lots of logs for the fire this winter... This weekends work will be to check out the flue and add new firebrick... before the bone cracking cold and the need of warmth arrives. love all your pics, especially the fairytale hedge with the chimney appearing to pop out of the top! an elf abode, perhaps? and the ancient spires in the fleeting autumn afternoon light? these are the views that make us marvel at how great it all is! thanks! xo
