Despite the ongoing project at the back area of the garden, I still managed to take some pics. The rockery is looking a bit ropey in places…
The path along the rockery has been removed and the patio has been dug up in sections. Anyway, bricks for the wall are coming on Friday. OH has been preparing the area with footings, base, drainage etc…
Looking forward to getting it finished!!!

Hosta looking lush – before the slugs start to nibble!

First of the alliums to start blooming.

Some of the bluebells still blooming.

Japanese Holly fern looking bright.

Thyme starting to flower

Think this is Arenaria. Very floriferous long flowering early winter/spring spreader

Hart’s tongue fern looking lush on unfurling.

Selection surviving on the rockery while the project evolves.

The tallest acer.

Another acer..

Evergreen clematis..trailing through the laurel.

The Montana yesterday, rampaging up over to the bund!

the garden is certainly looking lush. The hosta is very vibrant. I need to have more in the garden but the slugs eat well when I do.

Lovely collection you have there :) I’ve never seen a Japanese holly fern before so I’ll be keeping my out for one of those. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Eileen,I appreciate your lovely compliment! I’ve tried to canopy/lollipop a couple of shrubs so I can have some extra plants! I’ve a couple more hostas, but this one is the best for colour. They don’t stay intact for too long, as you say - slugs attack fairly quickly!

Thanks kindly, Cal! I potted this Japanese holly fern up last year and it’s actually thrived since I did this. Must like the pot and position! Thanks for liking the blog 😊
