It was a lovely, warm day today for everyone..lots of lovely sunshine and we were all out in the garden!
I didn’t do too much, I actually took some bits to the local tip while OH trimmed some shrubbery and watered the grass and bund hill…
He decided to go out on the motorbike for the first time this year to give it a run, so, I potted up my echinacea, did a little weeding, tidied the rockery and some of the bund hill on the lower end behind the shed. I’m pleased that my salix flamingo buds are starting to open nicely as well as one of the acers. I’ve also noticed I’ve a ‘free’ plant as I’ve a little ornamental bronze grass growing in amongst some cobbles. Rosemary flowers are starting to bloom – loving the scent as I brush past! The potted geranium ‘Rozanne’ is starting to awaken..hoping she is happy now she’s in a pot and not in the ground..
Oh, and I sat in a chair, relaxing in the warm afternoon sunshine..with a little feline friend snoozing next to me.

Look at that blue sky ... wonderful heart warming blog Kate! Beautiful day here too - a game of croquet with a new friend, and then she came back with me to sit in the garden and enjoy a cool drink. She thought the garden was “delightful” bless her 🙂.

wonderful day here too. Spent another 4 hrs getting the garden tidy, whilst Toria photographed butterflies and hubby took out the latest renovated AJS trials bike for a gentle run.

Thank you Paul, that’s another lovely comment! I’ve noticed a few self seeded grasses popping up, a couple on the rockery too. I don’t mind, they’re free!!! I do love this sedum, I’ll bet yours looks really nice at this time! I’ve seen several butterflies today - Eve caught one of a pair this afternoon, we managed to get it away from her safely!!

It has been lovely here in our area, Eileen, hasn’t it! I’ll bet your garden is looking very tidy and full of interest with all the work your doing.
I can imagine Toria had a lovely day photographing butterflies..lots around today.
Hope Oh enjoyed taking his bike out too! Hoping it all went well!

How lovely it's been today to actually SIT in the sun. I didn't do anything either except newspaper crosswords, well you've got to be lazy sometimes! 😊. Lovely photos especially the Small Tortoiseshell & the Muscari.

Sheila, thank you!!! You’re very kind as always!
Your day sounds really quite idyllic I have to say...I’m not surprised she thought your garden was delightful! It is!
I’m pleased you had a lovely day x

Thanks Kate! Btw I meant to say I think your bronze ‘grass’ might be Libertia gold 🙂.

Thank you, Josee! I appreciate your lovely message..
I’m pleased you sat out in the sunshine today, relaxing and doing some crosswords..it’s another thing I enjoy, crosswords. Nothing wrong with taking time to just sit and take it all in, soak up the sunshine and watching the day go by happily..you’ve earned it! ☺️

Oh, that’s interesting, Sheila! I’ve a libertia in the garden already...that would be nice.👍

You manage to capture the small detail very well. It's easy to overlook little tapestries. Glad you had a good , relaxing afternoon in the sunshine. I'm thrilled to see new seedlings popping up in the greenhouse and blue skies: small signs that make us a little more optimistic that the world turns, regardless of our self-regard!

Thanks Ange, I do like that phrase ‘ little tapestries’.
Another day of lovely weather, I’ve been out ‘snipping’ and pottering..I did attend the opticians this morning, I had to collect my contact lenses and some new glasses. Have to say, I enjoyed the ‘no one’ around environment...

As I am on catch up again, the hot weather has gone replaced by a cold N.W wind and is getting colder by Monday!
You have some great photos there Kate! There is nothing better than sitting in the sunshine looking at the work you have done in the garden!

Thank you, Rose, lovely comment from you.
Yes, it’s a big change all round today again, we’ve had some sunshine this afternoon, but much cooler...
