My petit path.

I spent Saturday, after lunch, redoing the teeny tiny path at the back of the garden. It’s about 2 and a half metres long..or I should say short. It’s really just there to assist my movement along the front of the raised rockery. It enables me to plant it up, weed and tidy the area. The rockery itself is actually longer, but, there is a crazy paving area – or as I like to call it ‘my Italianate style patio’ at the other end..
Bit of mortar which was surplus in the garage, and I foraged the front garden for surplus cobbles and stones.
I tidied up the area a bit and really just need to wash the pavers..I’m stood half way down taking the pic.

I like that, my OH is doing something similar this year with large stones.....I must put a photograph on when it’s finished......

Thats what I call an ‘Italianate style patio’ Kate! Well done! If it were mine, there would be a ‘hiding’ stool at the end!

Thanks Dd and Karen. Dd you must put some pics on when it’s finished. Karen, the other end which is a small square-ish patio is probably more Italianate, well in my head, 😂 I’ll have to pop a pic on! I’m now thinking of a “hiding stool “l what a fab idea! 😉

Sometimes it's the small things in life which give us the biggest pleasure. Remember that story about an elephant that was all bound up? It took the ingenuity of a teeny, tiny little mouse to set him free. Don't sweat the small things. Your path is fab!

What a lovely path, and well done for doing it … I also like the pot at the far end of it. I'm sure I've seen it before :)

It's amazing what a bit of time and ingenuity can do. It looks terrific, probably something you wouldn't have thought of doing if it weren't for being confined to home! I'm intrigued by the black posts at the other end, what are they for?

Thank you Paul, I like the idea of it being reminiscent of the Norfolk coast.
Thanks Paul, I like your anecdote about the elephant and the mouse. Thanks for your lovely comment.
Hywel, thank you kindly! And yes, the pot was there previously, just a little bit in front of the acer. ;-)
Thanks Eileen, appreciate the feedback, that’s nice. It’s unfortunate I’ve run out of mortar 😆
Thanks Honeysuckle, it was a weekend last minute sort of decision. Been trying all sorts over the years, grass, loose chipping, sedum..nothing thrived. Luckily though, I’m not confined as I’m still working.
Thanks Rose and Sunnydais, lovely comments, x

That looks really good ,nice and secluded. I am with Karen where I would have a nice little stool /chair at the end so that you can just disappear with a good book and a glass of your favourite something

Thanks Davey, this is getting more and more inviting! I ought to try it out over the bank holiday weekend!

Honeysuckle, apologies. I forgot to reply and relay what the black post are. They are part of a pergola. :-)

You did do well, just the right sort of path to front a rockery.

Thanks Stroller, definitely true..makes the task of looking after the rockery so much easier.
